pope resources Pope says Western Churches DYING
Well gang you have heard the conservatives in this NG saying that the ECUSA is dying due to the ordination of woman and gays! I have been saying this has been going on since the late 1960's and has NOTHING to do with woman and gays being ordained. People just don't buy into apple theodicy and the whole original sin gig. Well I have the POPE backing me up! True he wants to continue to wallow in the original sin game but at least he realizes the reason folks tune out from church proving conservatives are WRONG. http://www.cathnews.com/news/507/165.php http://go.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=topNews&storyID=9191751&...  The pope wants to drag us back to calling masochism spirituality ! Since the pope realizes what his fellow conservatives do not, why does he not do something to modernize the theology of his church? Ok everyone take a broken broomstick and shove it up your ass! Then say you are having a spiritual experience ! Well the pope wants us to continue to do that! Folks in the west say NO. Without an alternative they are turning to atheism or a reduction of religion in their lives. But at least he realizes that the western churches are dying and it because folks don't want to pray with a broomstick shoved up their ass not because of liberal changes in the churches! True we now have secular versions of ORIGINAL MASOCHISM . You know we nasty Amercians are X percent of the global population yet we use up a whooping Y percent of the resources! Isn't time that religion and idealism does not have to be a masochistic enterprise? All the make busy liturgical changes in the ECUSA will not serve as collective psychological defense mechanisms for the corporate exististential anxiety we feel as a faith community with the failure of original sin to explain life on earth and our place in the Divine Cosmos!
